Worship at St James
God loves it when we worship Him! It is time set aside when we can gather together as a Christian family to connect life, faith and God through our worship. This builds up our own faith in him, and strengthens our "church family" as we draw close to God in our worship, whether that is worshipping in a traditional or more contemporary way - whatever makes the "connection"!
"This service you peform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God" 2 Cor 9.12.
Music for our worship in St James' is led either by the Choir (led by Beth Hutton our Music Director) with the organ or by our music group, called Santiago (Led by Kate Morris our Worship Coordinator). However, we have many ways of worshipping at St James'. Services might take the form of quiet reflective traditional Holy Communion service, a traditional service with robed choir and hymns or contemporary language Holy Communion, or informal worship service with informal worship songs and creative worship with dance or drama.
