Baptism
Baptisms regularly take place at St.James and in order for a person to take baptism we require that they (or their parents) attend baptism preparation classes.
Baptisms can take place within the church using the font or outside using a pool.
At a recent baptism success & joy was snatched from the jaws of disaster after vandals trashed & burnt the pool & gazebo specially erected to celebrate an outdoor baptism.
The 125 strong congregation gathered outside the church to witness the baptism by total immersion.
